Advocate
Since 1977, Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA volunteers have worked to ensure that abused and neglected children have a stable and caring adult by their side as they navigate the foster care system. Even if you don’t have the 10 hours a month to be a volunteer, there are many other ways to join our cause and empower the youth of today to become the leaders of tomorrow.
CASA of Jersey County appreciates every voice that speaks up for our organization and the vulnerable youth we support. In order to ensure that the needs of youth in foster care continue to be met, we all need to vote for leaders who care about the wellbeing of these kids who are separated from their families and homes through no fault of their own.
We need to make sure there are resources available to support family reunification when safe, quality social work, well-screened foster families, and caregiver teams that include CASA volunteers and their valuable insights. We must also make our concerns known and understood by elected officials at the state and federal level to promote the CASA cause.
The gift of one stable adult to guide a child through the foster care system and hopefully to a permanent home is priceless. Let’s make sure that every child in foster care who needs a CASA volunteer can have one.
Provide Life-Saving Advocacy for Local Foster Children
To impact the life of an abused or neglected child and give them a brighter future, donate to CASA of Jersey & Greene Counties. Your generous support will help us to recruit and train more volunteers to meet the growing demand for our services.
Your gift ensures that children who have experienced abuse or neglect have a dedicated CASA Advocate who will elevate their voice and make their needs known while they are in foster care.
